Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast [Mother's day Special Recipe]


Here's a recipe that's sure to delight any mom on Mother's Day:


Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast 


Ingredients:


  • 8 slices of bread
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Whipped cream and additional strawberries for topping


Directions:


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. Fold in chopped strawberries.

  4. Spread about 2 tbsp of the cream cheese mixture onto each slice of bread.

  5. In another mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  6. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides.

  7. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  8. Place the bread slices in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  9. Transfer the French toast to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cream cheese mixture is hot and bubbly.

  10. Serve hot with whipped cream and additional strawberries on top.
