Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast
Ingredients:
- 8 slices of bread
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup butter
- Whipped cream and additional strawberries for topping
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold in chopped strawberries.
- Spread about 2 tbsp of the cream cheese mixture onto each slice of bread.
- In another mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Place the bread slices in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
