PRAWNS CURRY| KERALA STYLE PRAWNS CURRY

INGREDIENTS
250 gms/ 1 Cup Prawns
2 Onion
6-7 Shallots
1/2 Ginger
10-15 Garlic
2 Tomatoes
4-5 Jalapeno
1/2 Cup Curry Leaves
6-7 Cashew Nuts
1/2 tsp Kasuri Methi
1 Tsp Chilly Powder
1/2 Turmeric Powder
1/2 Pepper Powder
1 Tsp Coriander Powder
1/2 Tsp Garam masala
Salt To Taste
2 tbsp Oil
1/2 tsp Mustard seed
INSTRUCTIONS
1.  Finely Chop 2 Onions, 2 Tomatoes, 7-8 garlic, 1/2 ginger and 4-5 Jalapeno. 
2. In a Pan, add 2 tbsp oil. To it add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds. After u see mustard seeds crackling, add ginger and garlic. Cook for 1 min and then add chopped onions and Jalapeno. Cook till onions becomes soft. 
3. Add 2 chopped tomatoes and cook till tomatoes becomes mashy.
4.  Now add 1 Tsp Chilly Powder, 1/2 Turmeric Powder, 1 Tsp Coriander Powder , 1/2 Tsp Garam masala and salt.
5. Mix well and cook for couple of minutes. Then add 1 tsp Pepper Powder.
6. Now add 1 cup Prawns to the prepared gravy and mix well. Cover with a lid and cook. 
7.  Meanwhile, in a mixer jar take 6-7 shallots, 5-6 garlic pods, 6 to7 Cashew nuts and 1/2 tsp Kasuri methi.  Make smooth paste.
8. Add the prepared paste to the Prawns gravy.
9.  Add Curry leaves and cook for 2 more minutes.
10. Serve hot with Plain rice or Appam or Chappathi.
