SPROUTED GREEN GRAM & SEMOLINA PORRIDGE MIX


Sprouted Green Gram / Moong dal is very healthy and nutritious food for all including babies.. There are lots of benefits in consuming sprouted green gram. Just highlighting few of them here.

Sprouted Green Gram are easily digestible, builds immune system and improves eye sight.

Here, I present you with another health mix powder that can be included to baby’s diet and is as tastier too.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Semolina - 1 Cup

  2. Moong Dal/ Green Gram - 2 Cup

  3. Cardamom - 2-3 Pods

  4. Jeera - 1 tsp

INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE PORRIDGE POWDER


  1. Wash and soak 2 Cup of Green Gram in water for overnight or for 8-12 hours. 

                              

     

  2. Drain soaked green gram to a colander. Transfer & wrap it to a clean cloth for another 8-12 hours or leave it overnight.

  3. Check for sprouts. If you want longer sprouts, you can keep them for few more hours.



  4. Transfer the sprouted seeds to a dry cloth, and let it completely sun dry for 2- 3 days until it becomes crunchy. 

  5. Toast 1 Cup Semolina, 2-3 cardamom and 1 tsp jeera and keep aside.

  6. Later in a mixer, grind all together to form a fine powder and store it in an air tight container.
